the award winning movie that made television history!
It’s the story of Kunta Kinte, kidnapped from Africa and enslaved in America in 1767. His refusal to accept his slave name and his undying quest to be free has been told to generations of his family and finally brought to the attention of the world in this movie. This has been the African American Experience in America written first as a book by Alex Haley.
