This is an inspirational celebration of his life and works that occurs on the national holiday — the 3rd Monday in January. It includes the Annual MLK Peace-Justice March down Ka’ahumanu Avenue followed by a program highlighting the contributions of Dr. King which impacted not only African-Americans but all Americans. The post march festivities also feature the Annual MLK Oratory Contest and wonderful fellowship around a huge picnic lunch with lots of music and dancing.
